- Made in Barcelona by artisans from the Diomcoop Cooperative which aims to provide a sustainable and long-lasting solution to the social-inclusion and employment needs of migrants in vulnerable situations.
- Its name honors the prolific Senegalese band “Xalam” known for its fusion of jazz, rock and African rhythms. Founded in 1965 by Sakhir Thiam, composer, guitarist and president of the University of Dakar Bourguiba.
