- Made in Barcelona by artisans from the Diomcoop Cooperative which aims to provide a sustainable and long-lasting solution to the social-inclusion and employment needs of migrants in vulnerable situations.
- The name pays tribute to “Baaba Maal”, a Senegalese singer, musician and composer. He’s very popular across Africa and one of Senegal’s best-known musicians. As a musician, he plays acoustic guitar and percussion. In July 2003, he became a Youth Emissary for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
