- Made in Barcelona by artisans from Diomcoop cooperative which aims to provide a sustainable and long-lasting solution to the social-inclusion and employment needs of migrants in vulnerable situations.
- The name pays tribute to Assata Shakur, one of the most iconic activists of the 70s; she was a pillar of the civil rights movement in the United States and a member of the Black Panther Party. She was arrested in 1973 but managed to escape from prison in 1979, taking refuge in Cuba until her recent passing: September 25, 2025.
